Spectrum Centre provides psychology, social work, and occupational therapy services. Sessions take place in the client’s natural setting, such as home, school, workplace, community, or online therapy.

Spectrum Centre can provide support with:

  • Understanding and managing emotions

  • Emotional regulation and co-regulation

  • Supporting others to know how to respond to distress/dysregulation

  • Anxiety

  • Self-esteem and resilience

  • Participation at school or workplace

  • Bullying

  • Friendships

  • Home routines and functional daily living skills

  • Sensory Processing

  • Fine motor / upper limb / handwriting expression and assistive technology

  • Community participation

  • Parent support

 

Spectrum Centre can provide:

  • Action Planning Sessions:

    • Action planning sessions are typically a one-off 90 minute appointment to check in with a knowledgeable therapist / behaviour support practitioner with significant disability, NDIS, and transdisciplinary therapy support experience. Sessions can support with a range of needs including:

      • Determining therapy goals and appropriate supports

      • Unpacking priorities and planning services

      • Understanding the role of different therapies and different ways of working on goals

      • Understanding the role of behaviour support and required process in a NDIS context

      • Problem-solving  a specific concern and action planning (e.g., brief assessment, initial strategies and recommendations moving forward)

Spectrum Centre is a NDIS provider and charges the rates as outlined in the NDIS pricing arrangements and price limits

Additional intake paperwork and service agreement must be completed prior to the action planning sessions.

​

  • Functional Capacity Assessments:

    • Comprehensive assessment with an experienced Occupational Therapist capturing all areas of your functioning across your life and routines including:​

      • Medical needs, health, and physical function​

      • Communication, relationships, emotional regulation

      • Personal and self care (e.g., showering, toileting, dressing)

      • Domestic activities (e.g., housework, home maintenance, shopping, money management)

      • Work and education

      • Recreational activities and community access

      • Living arrangements and the home environment

      • Other relevant areas

    • Includes standardised assessments as required and development of a detailed Functional Assessment Capacity Report summarising the participant's functional capacity and needs across all areas of life and identification of relevant goals and any required supports.​

  • Positive Behaviour Support Consultation:

    • Consultation, brief assessment, and provision of recommendation report for improved relationship funding (PBS) if required.​

Spectrum Centre can also provide consultation and support with:

  • School advocacy

  • Training education staff

  • Workplace support

  • Training for support workers

  • Training for community groups

  • Case meetings

​

Spectrum Centre has extensive experience in working within a transdisciplinary team and can attend sessions with other allied health therapists and service providers (e.g., Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and Social Workers). This includes other therapists working in private practice and those working within larger not-for-profit organisations.
